The longest running regular poetry event in Berkshire, created by Susan Utting in the mid-'90s, is currently being organised, hosted and compered by A. F. Harrold.

Each month sees a host of local poets take part in a packed open mic session, plus a full reading from a specially invited guest poet.

Poets' Cafe is held at South Street Arts Centre, South Street, Reading on the third Friday of every month. Doors open at 8pm, the poetry begins at 8.30.
Entry fee is £6 for normal people or £4 for concessionary people and poets.

Here's a review/feature by the BBC about Poets' Cafe, just in case I've not given a true picture of it myself here.
